In what areas are your services available?

We provide home care services in the Minneapolis and St. Paul Metro area including Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott and Washington counties. Please see our Service Area page.

Who needs in-home care?

There are many situations in which an aging individual needs assistance in order to remain living independently at home. Medical conditions or procedures may also cause the need for in home care such as:

  • Respite care
  • Post-surgical recoveries
  • Transitional care
  • Disability & rehabilitation care
  • Alzheimer’s patients
  • Dementia patients
  • Rehab patients

How much do home care services cost?

Arc Home Care is committed to providing you superior care with the responsiveness and flexibility you need. The cost of in home care varies depending on the number of hours and the types of services provided. What are my payment options for home care services?

Knowing how to pay for home care can be confusing. In many cases, there are financial options that can help lessen the burden, and many people find that home care works out to be the most affordable assisted living option. Options to help with affordability include:

  • Private pay
  • Long-term care insurance
  • Private health insurance
  • Veteran’s assistance
  • Medicare or Medicaid (At this time, Arc Home Care is not a Medicare or Medicaid provider.)
Are your home care services covered through Medicare, Medicaid, or insurance?

Medicare can cover services like skilled nursing care, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, medical social services and medical supplies. Services that are not covered include personal care like bathing, dressing and toileting, delivered meals, homemaker services, and 24-hour a day home care. If you qualify for Medicaid, depending on your income and deductions, you may be able to get financial assistance for home health care. At this time, Arc Home Care is not a Medicare or Medicaid provider. 

Is your agency licensed and are your caregivers insured and bonded?
We hold a comprehensive Home Care license from Minnesota Department of Health. Both our company and our employees are bonded and insured, including liability coverage and workman’s compensation. We are happy to show proof of insurance upon request.
Will I be able to reach a caregiver after hours? If so, how can I contact someone after hours?

Yes. We are available 24/7, 365 days a year. Simply call us at (952) 649-5377 and someone will be available to take your call.

How quickly can I arrange for services?

Do you require a commitment to a minimum of hours and days a week in order to provide care?

No. At Arc Home Care, we are dedicated to providing superior care with the flexibility you need. We offer a complimentary service assessment to provide you with a personalized care plan. We’d love to talk to you about your needs and can be reached at (952) 649-5377.

Are your services covered by Medicare?

Are your services available in nursing homes or assisted living facilities?

Yes, we can provide services in private homes, independent and assisted living facilities, and rehabilitation and nursing homes.

What if my caregiver is sick and cannot make it to my house?

We will have resources available to provide temporary coverage when one of our regular scheduled caregivers is not able to make his or her scheduled times. We can be reached 24/7 at (952) 649-5377.

What kind of services do you provide?

How are your caregivers screened?

Our employees are carefully selected for the work habits and character that equip them to provide the comfort, promote the wellbeing, and preserve the dignity of our care recipients to provide you with superior care. Every employee is screened for criminal background check, work and education references, driver’s license and auto insurance before they are hired. All employees follow infection control protocol and receive regular immunizations for tuberculosis, influenza, and other communicable illnesses.

What kind of training do your caregivers receive?

All employees are trained and competency tested by a registered nurse on home care policies and procedures. We also use a proprietary development, recognition, and retention program called APEX (Arc Performance Excellence) to provide the best caregivers to you. We constantly assess the quality of care our employees deliver through regular follow-up with customers, satisfaction surveys, care performance scorecards, and phone contact and emails. Our employees receive additional training to further their skills twice a year.
